Last night Conner was awarded his Webelos badge. And I got pinned. As Conner approached with the mother's pin he said, "brace yourself."
I just love this funny kid.
And can I just say that I am digging this Cub Scout gig. I'm officially one year into it. (Although it feels longer since I've been involved on the committee since Conner started 2 1/2 years ago). Sure, some weeks (a lot of weeks) my 12 boys are crazy with energy and I feel like I'm herding cats and when I come home I just collapse on the couch. But I am enjoying the topics & skills we cover, the little projects (and doing things the "boy" way), games, skits, songs, and their genuine interest and eagerness to participate.
It works for me.
