Playing cards most evenings. Scum and Skip-Bo.
Assembling lasagna this morning. One for us. And one for the youth service project. They will be serving dinner to homeless/less-fortunate individuals.
Drilling the states and capitals with Payton as we work on the Great American Challenge. He has to be able to locate them on the map and spell them all correctly. Next comes memorizing the Gettysburg Address and all U.S. Presidents in order.
Looking forward to Anna's 2nd grade play. She has one line as the horsefly -- "neigh! I'm a horsefly and I hurt anyone who with me tangles!"
Missing Conner's district choir festival. Their performance time was early this morning and there was no way to get the kids to school, drive all the way to UNLV, find a place to park (nearly impossible), and get into the performance hall. Sometimes you can't do it all. But he looked handsome in his tuxedo vest as he left for school this morning!
Thinking about paint colors for the exterior of the house. Oh, our house needs this so badly! There are good parts & bad parts that come with living in a neighborhood with a strict HOA. One of those bad parts is that you have to choose your exterior house color from the palette they provide. And let's just say that I am not inspired by any of them. Sand Dune, Apache Tan, Terracotta Sand, Desert Suede . . . you get the idea.
Updating my project links here on the blog. My Give project page includes links to ideas for gifts and celebrating.
Welcoming readers that may be coming here from Magical Daydream. Welcome! Today I was interviewed by the big-hearted Marielle all about my 33 RAKs for 33 Years from a while back. Marielle lives in The Netherlands (how cool!) and my interview is part of her Creative Kindness month. Read the interview HERE.
