What is Bunny Day? Bunny Day is the Saturday before Easter. This is when the Easter Bunny visits our house and fills the kids' Easter buckets & baskets with candy and a small toy, movie, etc.
Why do we celebrate Bunny Day? This allows us to get all the "fun / commercial / high-energy" parts of Easter out of the way so that we can enjoy Easter Sunday for the sacred & special holiday that it is. When we wake up on Easter Sunday all we have to do is eat breakfast and get dressed for church! It is so nice to not worry about the Easter basket craziness & sugar & photos & meltdowns & messes on top of getting ready for church.
I really like that this simplifies the Easter Sabbath. Every year I thank the Easter Bunny for coming on Saturday!
