just sitting down for a moment, enjoying some yoplait yogurt as a break from all my trip preparations. I've been cleaning furiously -- Anna is sleeping, gotta take advantage of that time. Still have to do some grocery shopping, laundry, and packing is still a distant thought. I'm excited. I think Anna and I will have a great time at my parents' place.
Today I took Anna in for her 6 month check-up. I guess my mind was not completely with me when I scheduled the appointment, because the fact that this is spring break week and Conner is out of school did not occur to me until late last week. So, I had all 3 kids in the doctor's office -- always an adventure. Anna weighed in at 15 lbs. 10 oz., and was 26 7/8 inches. That was a little of a surprise to me, she feels heavier. Her weight puts her in the 50th percentile, down from the 75th at her 4 month check. Also, I'm used to really big babies at this age. Both Conner and Payton reached the height of their chunkiness at 6 months. Conner was 20 pounds, Payton was 19 -- both sitting comfortably in the 90th percentile. I guess girls are just different, a little leaner I suppose.
And in case you wanted proof, here are pics of Payton (top) and Conner (bottom) at 6 months old. The poor kids look like their cheeks are about to explode from all the pressure!
Well, I better go work on dinner. Last night I tried something new and it bombed, so I've got to make it up to my family tonight with one of our tried and true favorites. I'm thinking spaghetti.
