When I was 7, 8, 9 years old . . . . man, puff paints were the coolest. The perfect anytime activity. Grab a t-shirt, a hat, a tote bag, or a white pair of keds and go to town.
Today the kids made these:
I've decided I really like the iron-on letters. The puff paints (at least at this age) just make me nervous.
Swarly: he was really excited about his artistic swirlies/puddles. And he was really excited about the letter "L".
Anna: She drew a blob, then asked me to draw a penny, and then I added a girly face & crown just for fun. All of this was proceeded by 15 minutes of crying & screaming, "I can't stop crying", "no, you be quiet", and 3 time-outs.
The Crakers master: He's the one who came up with the idea for this activity. You can bet that as soon as the puff paints dry he will be wearing this shirt 7 days a week. Along with his dark blue Crakers shorts that find a new hiding place at the end of each day. I'm crossing my fingers that having the patience to make this project happen will earn me a big "Craker X"! {inside joke}. Ahhh, someday I think I need to have a Crakers post -- just so you can see a little into the world & mind of our dear boy Conner.
