10 - something I made
This is one of those rare times when something I've seen on pinterest becomes more than just a "cool project for someday". These bracelets are made from old t-shirts. That I have been saving in pile for 5 months. See, I knew I was going to do this project . . . someday. And that someday was late August. For a couple weeks I stowed the supplies (old t-shirts and sewing scissors) in a basket and carried them around with me to swimming lessons and soccer practice. I think I made 25-30 of them. They were actually pretty fun to make. I've never knit before but I think the technique is pretty similar, just using your fingers. I found a great video tutorial here.

I'm playing the part of "party planner" this month and having lots of fun with it. :)
13 - from a distance
Piano lessons are over. There are no soccer practices on the schedule for today. So the kids get 45 minutes of beloved video game time while I prep dinner. You like our afternoon tornado? Let's play a game of I spy.
I spy . . . . a jar of glitter, a deflated beach ball, a homemade volcano, 2 socks, sunglasses, a stack of receipts, and one of the above-mentioned homemade jersey bracelets.
