One of the things that I really missed this summer was our trip to Sauvie Island Farms for picking fresh raspberries, and the process of making freezer and canned raspberry jam. Oh, that is good stuff.
When we moved we cleaned out our cupboards, gave away all of our food . . . . . but I kept the jam. And brought it here with us.
Last month we finished our last jar. It was a sad day.
I realized that this (berry picking & jam making) was an activity and tradition that I wanted to remember.
And I remembered that last year I had taken a slew of detailed, day-in-the-life photos during our excursion to Sauvie Island Farms. A photo book was in order!
To make it even easier, these photos were sitting in a Facebook photo album so all I had to do was use Blurb's Facebook photo book tools to pull it together. It was so incredibly easy.
7x7 inches, 32 pages, Imagewrap cover
I've made a few Blurb books in my time (blog books, vacation books, etc.). I know how time-consuming it can be for those like me who want to get every detail just right. But this one . . . . This literally took me 30 minutes start to finish. And it looks great.
I love it! I love how it tells a story. I love the simplicity and focus on the photos (no words). I love the memories that it captures. I love seeing this book sitting on the side table in the living room.
I'm already imagining more memories, events, traditions that need to become photo books. My little stack is definitely going to grow.
