SATURDAY - Back for some more!
We had one Magic Morning pass with our 3-day Hopper tickets and we chose Saturday to be the day. The park regularly opened at 8am, which meant that we could get in at 7am
Which meant that our hotel shuttle left at 6:30am
Which meant that we were sitting on the curb at 6:15am
We rode Star Tours twice (back to back). Did you know that it is now in 3-D? Pretty fun. Conner was thrilled because he finally got to the the Rebel Spy! He was literally praying for this one. And after his prayer was answered he started praying for Payton, but no luck there.
The Magic Morning was also a great opportunity to go on rides that we usually wouldn't wait in long lines for. Like the submarine and Autopia.
You gotta watch this video of silly Anna. Love her!
Another day I rode some bumper cars with her and before the ride began she said, "Just so you know, I don't have a driver's license."
This girl is a Splash Mountain junkie!
After 6 hours at the park we decided to go back to the hotel for some swimming and relaxing. It was a hot day (90 degrees) so it was a really nice opportunity to prevent our children from getting grumpy-hot.
After dinner, back to California Adventure where I did this
The last (and first) time I went on a roller coaster was in 2001 and vowed never again.
But here were my 11, 9, and 7 year old children going on the coaster repeatedly and loving it.
While in line Anna told me that she would sit by me and I could hold her hand if I got scared.
When the roller coaster shot out of the gates I didn't scream (trying to keep myself together, I guess) but this is the part where you're supposed to scream. Anna asked, "Mom why aren't you screaming?"
I so so so so wish I could have had a video camera or tape recorder on that girl. She was cool as a cat through the whole ride, describing to me what comes next, asking me if I'm okay . . . . . I loved having her sweet voice right there.
Okay, here's the big hill!
This is the fast part
Here comes a fun part
Oh here's the picture! (And she flashes a peace sign)
Mom, are you ok? Are you ok mom? (As I'm hyper-ventilating)
As soon as we got off the ride I was bombarded by all 3 children - How was it mom? Did you like it? Wasn't that fun?
Let's just say I survived. And came away with a stomach ache. And I probably won't be doing it again.
But . . . . I'm pretty darn proud of myself for trying!
The rest of the evening we went on some of our favorite rides again. I also took Payton & Anna to another animation class. We watched the Frankenweenie extended preview in 4-D (rain fell from the ceiling of the theater - crazy).
Quotes from the week. Yes, our feet were tired at the end of each day:
Anna: "My feet hurt, it feels like we walked to Africa from Oregon."
Payton: "My feet are saying they want to go to bed. And I agree with them."
A great time was had by all.
The End.
