What I did today: paint, paint, paint. We had an annoying paint fiasco that sent us driving all over town, but in the end everything was resolved and I was a happy painter/customer. The dining area in the kitchen is complete! In just 3 days I'll be able to write on that beautiful chalkboard wall.
What Scott did today: It was a holiday for his company so he was home with us. Yay! First thing in the morning he set out to run some errands and was rear-ended by another car. Boo! Everyone was fine. We just feel bad for the kid who smashed his dad's Lexus SUV.
What the kids did today: It was a hang-out-at-home-day so I sent them outside as much as possible because the weather is perfect. Literally, perfect. So they: rode bikes, drew with chalk, played their Nintendo DS's outside, played board games outside, jumped on the trampoline, played board games on the trampoline, and Payton worked on his science project. They also got to watch Star Wars Episode 6 with the volume really high, just the way they like it.
What the family did today: When mom spends the day painting, that means that someone else is in charge of dinner. So we hopped over to Claim Jumper for some food. Yum. Later, we introduced the kids to ¡Three Amigos! and they all loved it. Now a lot of Scott's quotes/sayings are making a lot more sense to them. Like, every time he opens a clothing gift and exclaims, "It's a sweater!" Anna has named her new little stuffed bunny, "Buttercup", Payton is finding ways to work movie quotes into his conversations each day, and he starts laughing every time he remembers the part where they kill they Invisible Swordsman.
