The Easter Bunny came!
At 6:11 am a little girl stood by our bedside whispering, "Dad, the Easter Bunny came and hid our easter baskets in the house but we can't find Conner's." Mmm-hmm, go away. (We forgot to give them instructions the night before that they weren't supposed to bother us until 7am.)
6:35am - from downstairs, "We found Conner's basket! It was in the laundry chute!" Oh good.
The Easter Bunny brought pool toys and new goggles. And he hid a bunch of eggs in the backyard overnight.
Anna got her wish . . . a new stuffed bunny. Now she has 4.
Do you see that? Those are our new dining chairs!
The rest of the day was full of chores and errands.
Grocery shopping, give the boys haircuts, make 7 1/2 dozen sugar cookies and frosting (that was all Scott) . . .
Clean the pool, hose the pollen off all the cement in the back, and plant my little annuals . . .
Pick up clutter, clean the floors, work on the science project, and admire my roses about to burst . . . .
Make homemade rolls, plan a Primary lesson (I was subbing for the 6-7 year olds), and prepare overnight french toast to stick into the fridge . . . .
After a very full day we sat down to some $5 Little Cesar's Hot & Ready pepperoni pizza for dinner (our Saturday tradition -- oh, but what we wouldn't give for Papa Murphy's close by!) and then set off on a family walk to McDonald's for ice cream cones.
Yes, the ice cream machine was working this time.
