We celebrated the 4th of July in Idaho and to start the day we headed to Buhl for their small town parade. It was perfect!
We claimed our spot and then grabbed ice cream cones from the creamery across the street. Anna made an absolute mess of herself. (This was only the beginning)
Holy giant horse! // Giant tractor! // Happy yellow airplane flyby // Cute little goat on a leash. At first I thought it was a puppy.
Later in the day we had a giant windstorm. When it died down we went out to the street to have a tank battle.
Trying to light those things was pretty tricky with all the wind.
Before each battle the boys carefully placed their tanks for optimum carnage and victory.
Ya, hot sparks and cinders just an inch from Anna's flip-flopped feet . . . . no big deal!
She knows how to run when it's necessary.
The light shifted and suddenly we had this amazing evening glow all around us, what with all the dust still in the sky, some unsettled clouds, and even a rainbow!
No, a double rainbow!
I love Conner's intensity
But, it appears that Payton was the victor in this contest.
All along we weren't sure if we were going to be able to do our fireworks because of all the wind. But eventually we decided that it was safe enough to do a few fountains in the street. Payton was soooooo excited!
Yep, just some little fountains
