1. What the heck? It's November already??!!
2. I ordered our Christmas cards last night through Tiny Prints. I was planning to order them through Paper Coterie last week when they had a screaming deal - 60% off. But we got busy with Halloween and I totally spaced it and I'm kicking myself for it. Darn it!
3. I'm wearing boots today, which makes me very happy.
4. Scott got to play in a charity golf tournament at a premiere golf course yesterday - TPC Summerlin. And his team won! AND he won the long drive contest! He was pretty excited - and shocked - because he is never in contention for the longest drive. He also won 2 free tickets for Pink Jeep Tours in a raffle. Looks like there will be a date in our future!
5. So I'm kinda famous. Not really. Last week Becky Higgins posted this video on her blog, and I'm in it!
Becky had put out an open request for 15 second videos, describing why you love Project Life. At the last minute I decided to submit a little something as well. I'll admit that it took me just a "few" takes. Watching it back now, I just have to laugh at myself. Talking straight into a camera just feels/looks awkward! (And I love that one of my readers saw this video, recognized me, and mentioned it in a comment last week. Thanks, Kat!)
6. Yesterday the kids were out of school so we went on a little adventure. Our goal was to find a way to reach the "B" on the mountain - it stands for Boulder City. We got close, but not right up to it. It was a cold, windy day and we walked 4.3 miles round trip, so just getting close was enough for me to consider the outing a success.
7. Anna and I love watching Once Upon a Time together. The boys were on a campout this past weekend so we had a little girls night. Shopping at Old Navy, dinner out, Costco (woo!), Coldstone, and then back home to watch a few DVR'd episodes all cuddled up in my bed. She does not appreciate, though, the fact that Peter Pan is a bad guy.
8. I asked Conner what he wanted for his 13th birthday. Laffy Taffy, a book, Lego parts, and a personalized bath towel. That's it. I kinda love that he's pretty easy this year.
9. I need to start making Christmas lists, but my mind is drawing a big huge blank.
10. Last week I picked up the USB memory stick that I purchased with all of our family pictures on it. I am so in love with them! I'm so excited to get some new family pictures on the wall, our christmas cards are going to look great, and I want to find some time to redesign this blog to incorporate some of the photos. Here's just one for sharing today! (Our photographer was Chris Jenkins - if you're local, check her out!)
