I am all packed for our Hawaii trip!
Payton has been researching and writing a paper about Steve Jobs. This is the first of a 4 part project which will culminate in a "living museum". I'm feeling pretty lucky that I got off so easy with the costume! Jeans, black turtleneck, done.
We played Farkel for family home evening (aka Greed or 10,000). The kids love it, except for the times when they can't seem to roll any points. But as soon as they do . . . . it quickly becomes the best game ever!
Conner finished up finals week. Are we really half-way through the school year?
3 trips to Home Depot, 1 to Lowe's, and another to a flooring store and I have the tile we need for a little project. While we are away my dad is going to re-do the tile around our master bedroom fireplace. Lucky me! Here are my inspiration photos: this one (scroll down) and this one.
Anna spends every afternoon singing "Let it Go" in her room. I love it.
On our anniversary Scott and I snuck away to The Cheesecake Factory for appetizers & dessert after the kids were settled in bed. We always love the Vietnamese Summer Rolls and stuffed mushrooms. The fresh banana cheesecake was also a winner.
I tried some new recipes this week. Potato & Bacon Breakfast Casserole and this Chili in the crockpot. They were both super easy, I was able to do all the prep in the morning (which I love), and they tasted delicious!

Something exciting for me . . . My favorite things party was featured in an issue of Atlanta Parent Magazine. Check it out! (pages 26 & 27)
