Two days a week Anna has spring soccer practice. She loves it. Loves it. And continually talks about wanting to play soccer in the Olympics someday. She practices her footwork at home and then will draw pictures of medals and Olympic rings on the back patio with sidewalk chalk. Way to dream girl.
We are searching for new renters for our Oregon home. Our fantastic renters of the past 22 months are moving out the end of this month. :(
Two years ago, tomorrow, we moved to Vegas. Wow. We have a few plans to mark the day.
Anna is excited for spring and is trying to to lure the desert bunnies by throwing large carrot chunks around our backyard. We haven't seen any yet.
I never thought I would say it but we are living cable-free right now. By choice. We cancelled it two weeks ago because we realized that we watched so little tv, yet we were paying $$$ every month for it! So far so good. Hulu plus and Amazon instant video give Scott & I stuff to watch in the evenings. We'll probably go back to satellite at some point, but for now we're testing this out.
It has been an exciting week in the neighborhood. On Monday the police were looking for a suspect on the run and even searched our backyard with a K-9 unit. The kids' school went on hard lockdown. Then on Thursday there was a house fire 4 doors down. We were walking down the street just as the firetrucks arrived - 3 firetrucks and 4 emergency vehicles in all. So sad for that family.
I got accepted to become a Power of Moms Ambassador! Now I know the "ambassador" title sounds pretty fancy, but what it really means is that I get to help promote & grow this wonderful "online gathering place for deliberate mothers." If you haven't already you should check it out. And by joining Power of Moms (it's free) you can access a host of "members-only" material. Go HERE.
I made some Chocolate-Frosted Peanut Butter Bars. So good
The kids are looking forward to this afternoon when they will get to meet a real live ferret! If you'll remember, Payton has an obsession with ferrets. So when we discovered that a new friend actually owns a ferret we knew we needed to arrange a meeting.
