1982-ish. Me about 2 years old. Dad about 26 years old.
We just returned from a family reunion. It was wonderful and I'll have much to blog and share just as soon as I upload the pictures to my computer and get caught up with laundry and groceries. :)
But I just wanted to take a minute to say Happy Father's Day to my wonderful dad. To me he is the epitome of
real hard work
service
dedication & love for family
dedication to church responsibilities
and making the best of difficult life circumstances
He is a true father who taught his boys to be men. And with a special affection raised his daughter to understand her worth. I am truly grateful for him and the rock that he has been in our family. He counsels, provides, supports, and plays with love. No one questions the fact that family is the most important thing in the world to him.
Just as sure as his timeless wardrobe of plaid work shirts and blue jeans I know that I can always, always count on him.
Love you, dad
