Earlier this summer we took our annual summer trip to California and got to hang with the family for a bit. My parents were still waiting for their house to be finished so Sam and Heidi kindly took us in. Yay! We stayed with them for 2 nights and then headed up to the cabin, and then back again to celebrate the 4th of July.
We got a cute picture of all the cousins present (missing Nick, Ellie, & Christian - but the family reunion is scheduled for summer 2017!)
And our stay there included lots of hanging out, video games, swimming, and treats.
Sam and Heidi have an AMAZING garden! I'm jealous!
Our original schedule for this visit was to go straight to the cabin and then down for the 4th of July. But when we found out that Sam & Heidi & fam would be gone and Anna would never get a chance to see Carlee (her favorite cousin & friend) we rearranged things so we could spend a little more time with them. These two are about 7 months apart and have become pen pals. Anna is always anxiously awaiting the next letter and loves creating cards & notes (sometimes with surprises included) to send to Carlee.
It's good to have a friend!
